The Real Thing Tri-Mag - 90 capsules

The Real Thing Tri-Mag Capsules includes chelated Magnesium that consists of 3 forms of Magnesium, i.e. Magnesium citrate, Magnesium bisglycinate and Magnesium malate. A chelated mineral is one that has formed a specific bond with an organic compound. In this formula, Magnesium is chelated with organic acids (forming citrate and malate salts) and an amino acid (forming bisglycinate salt) to enhance the bioavailability of Magnesium. Chelated minerals are more familiar to the body compared with inorganic forms commonly used in mineral supplements, and therefore results in better absorption or greater uptake of the mineral.

The different forms of Magnesium support different aspects of health in the body.

Magnesium citrate is magnesium bound to citric acid, an acid found naturally in citrus fruits. It has been found to be one of the most highly absorbable forms of Magnesium.

Magnesium citrate is known to stimulate bowel motility in high doses. In this formula Magnesium citrate is balanced with other forms of Magnesium to support normal motility, yet not to overstimulate or have a laxative effect.

Magnesium bisglycinate is Magnesium which is bonded with the amino acid glycine. It is a highly absorbable form of Magnesium. This form of Magnesium has been reported to help ease anxiety, depression and stress. Magnesium bisglycinate also provides glycine, an amino acid involved in muscle protein synthesis.

Magnesium malate is Magnesium paired with malic acid, an organic compound found in fruit such as grapes and pears. It is very well absorbed and therefore readily available in the body. It is also known to be a gentle form of Magnesium on the stomach.
