The Return of The Unconventional CEO: Volume 2

More lessons on common sense, ideas on getting more out of your position, and finding your CEO mojo. The Assault of compliance on common sense is relentless. So is stupidity. The fast pace of a changing business world is obscuring the use of common sense. The vagaries of 'business speak' obfuscate language. It is deemed barbaric not to use plain words to describe plans, actions and outcomes. A constant invention of terminology leaves a bewildering trail of confused translation of the intended meaning. To this the easily offended and the wayward business modeler add their distractions. How can common sense be found to cut through the increasing assault of compliance and similar distracting nonsense? After the good reception of Volume 1: The Unconventional CEO, the author dug a bit deeper under the scabs and scars of a profitable career as corporate (short) and entrepreneur (seemingly lifelong) career to find more lessons. The Return of the Unconventional CEO brings more trumping ideas, clarifying the mist of indecision with hard-won nuggets. The 60-odd chapters reflect experiences not found in popular management books or in polite management-speak conversations. If you liked the first volume, then you may find solace in some of these pages. It's cold and lonely of the bridge of the Ship of Fate, hopefully you will warm to some common sense with those 'a-ha ' moments when you are reminded that you knew that all along.
