The Routledge Companion to Twenty-First Century Latin American Poetry

The Routledge Companion to Twenty-First Century Latin American Poetry brings together internationally recognised experts to offer a fresh and urgent perspective on Latin America's contemporary poetry and the culture and politics of the region in the last twenty-five years.

Delving into the often-overlooked realm of poetic expression, this companion provides a rich and complex assessment of Latin America's diverse voices and a comprehensive understanding of the genre's evolution and significance. By focusing on wider tendencies, geographical areas, and a select group of poets for individual case-studies, the work gives clear and necessary insights into the recent poetry of this region. Engaging with the work of poets who challenge conventions, this edited collection illuminates the cultural and political landscapes of the last two decades, providing readers with a fresh perspective on Latin America's rich literary tapestry.

This volume is a vital resource for undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, and academics in Latin American Studies, Cultural Studies, Literary Studies, and related fields, as well as anyone interested in the intersection of poetry, identity, and contemporary Latin American culture.
