The Worst Year of My Life So Far

My name is Meredith Taylor. I am fourteen, a Virgo, and insanely competitive - I hate not being good at what I do.
I love words, and on the days I don't dream about becoming a zoologist, CEO of a major multinational or president of South Africa, I play with the idea of being a linguistics professor.
I talk too much (at least to myself) and record my observations about life in this fat journal, which is kept in my cupboard under a pile of winter jerseys.
In my spare time I write poetry and fantasise about suicide.
No matter what happens, one day I will be famous. That's when this journal will come in useful, as source material for my biographer.
In the mean time, let me tell you about the worst year of my life - so far!
