Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats! Yes, the hit animated 1980s cartoon show has come back with full force. The franchise has experienced something of a startling comeback in recent years, and this momentum has allowed Lion-O and co to appear in an action-platforming adventure on the Nintendo DS.

The plot? As you'd expect - the wonderful world of Thundera has fallen into chaos and despair, after generations of peace. The culprit behind all of the madness is a nasty sort called Mumm-Ra and his villainous Lizard army. Thing is, Mumm-Ra never expected to see the likes of Lion-O, Cheetara, Panthro and Tygra stand up for their home and tackle his evil forces head on!

With the trusty Sword of Omens in your hand, you control Lion-O and his companions as you leap, slash and tackle your way through multiple levels of Lizard nasties and corruption. The action is displayed on the top screen of the Nintendo DS, while the touch screen is used to call upon the assistance of Wilykit, Wilykat, Cheetara, Tygra and others. When you're in a pinch, you can also use special powers contained within the Sword of Omens by hitting the icon on the bottom screen. Thundercats, Hoooo!
