Manufactured from High carbon Steel. Spade Bits are also known as paddle Bits or butterfly Bits.

Standard vs. Pro series:
Notice the two different spade Bits in the picture on the left. The one is a standard spade bit and the other is a Pro series spade bit. The Pro series spade bit is equipped with spurs to cut cleaner and faster than standard spade Bits.

Tip:
To avoid splintering, drill the workpiece from both ends.
