Top 3 Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is this cornice easy for a beginner to install? Yes, absolutely! The polystyrene material is extremely lightweight and easy to cut with a fine-toothed hand saw or mitre box. Installation typically involves a simple process of applying a suitable cornice adhesive (not included) and pressing the lengths into place.

2. Can I paint the cornice? Yes. The coving is pre-finished in white but is designed to be fully paintable. For the best, long-lasting results, we recommend using a standard PVA (water-based) emulsion paint. Do not use solvent-based paints as they can damage the polystyrene.

3. What type of adhesive should I use? We recommend using a strong, all-purpose cornice adhesive or a quality gap filler/adhesive specifically designed for polystyrene or lightweight mouldings. Ensure the adhesive is suitable for use on both the wall and ceiling surfaces.
