What is menopause:

Menopause is when a woman ceases to menstruate. The exact definition is 12 months after her last menstrual period. Menopause is a natural process of hormonal decline that can result in some of the following symptoms; hot flushes, mood swings, vaginal dryness, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, irritability, depression, heart palpitations, hair loss, dry skin and low libido. Angelica sinensis; Dong Quai traditional Chinese herb that is most often used in combination with other herbs to treat female reproductive problems such as frequency and intensity of hot flushes.

Astragalus membranaceus is a traditional Chinese herb that contains polysaccharides, flavonoids, and saponins, pharmacological research indicates that the extract can increase telomerase activity, and has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effects that can ease hot flushes, night sweats and depression.

Chaste tree or Vitex agnus-castus contains phytochemical compounds that have been shown to improve symptoms of anger, irritability and depression.
