High definition glass, an index-matched lens configuration, XR Plus anti-reflective coating and phase-correcting roof prisms combine to deliver minimal chromatic aberration, exceptional color fidelity, edge-to-edge sharpness and strong light transmission across a 273 ft field of view.

The housing is nitrogen-filled for reliable waterproof and fogproof performance, with rubber armor for a secure, non-slip grip in any weather, and shockproof construction that withstands impact and recoil. A short-hinge bridge design cuts weight while exposing more surface for a comfortable hold, and the large, knurled focusing knob is easy to operate even with gloves on. Twist-down eyecups accommodate glasses wearers, and a birding-friendly 6 ft close focus distance makes it easy to observe nearby subjects in detail.
