Water Sand Paper (Variety Pack) - 5 Piece

Camco Waterpaper Sanding Sheets is ideal for the manual, wet sanding of painted surfaces between coats, as well as for fixing defects in the paint. The sanding sheet is also well suited for the removal of orange peel structure and spot mark repair. The use of a sanding block is recommended to obtain a smooth, even surface, with a consistent sanding pattern. It also features excellent flexibility and is therefore very easy to manoeuvre.

SANDPAPER GRIT BREAKDOWN (220 1000)

220 GRIT - Fine

What it does

Removes small imperfections

Smooths surfaces after coarse sanding

Prepares wood, fiberglass, or filler for primer

Typical uses

Final shaping of body filler

Smoothing fiberglass patches before primer

Light material removal without gouging

Prepping wood before first coat of varnish/paint feel

Still has bite, but controlled and safe for most surfaces.

400 GRIT - Very Fine

What it does

Levels primer

Removes small bumps, dust nibs, and minor scratches

Typical uses

Sanding primer before base coat

Smoothing fiberglass after 220 grit

Prepping plastic or metal for paint

Light smoothing between coats of varnish feel

Noticeably smoother; starts entering finishing territory.

600 GRIT - Extra Fine

What it does

Refines surfaces before painting or clear coating

Removes light scratches and minor texture

Typical uses

Wet sanding primer for a smooth finish

Prepping clear coat for polishing

Smoothing resin or fiberglass before final coats

Cleaning up small imperfections on metal feel

Very smooth; removes material slowly and cleanly.

800 GRIT - Ultra Fine

What it does

Smooths clear coat or resin without cutting deeply

Removes light orange peel or haze

Typical uses

Wet sanding clear coat before 1000-1500 grit

Refining fiberglass or resin before polishing

Smoothing plastic or acrylic surfaces feel

Almost silky; ideal for controlled wet sanding.

1000 GRIT - Super Fine

What it does

Pre-polish refinement

Removes micro-scratches

Levels clear coat gently

Typical uses

Wet sanding before 1500-2500 grit

Polishing prep for automotive paint

Smoothing resin for a glossy finish

Cleaning up metal before buffing feel

Very smooth; barely cuts, mostly refines.
