Outdoor-Ready Construction

The IP67 rating indicates that the enclosure is designed to provide protection against dust ingress and temporary immersion in water under specified conditions. This makes the extender suitable for outdoor installations where exposure to dust, moisture and changing weather conditions may occur.

The wide operating temperature range of -40 C to 65 C allows the unit to be used in demanding environments with significant temperature variation.

Gigabit Network Extension

The XY-EX01GB-OT supports Gigabit data rates, helping maintain high-speed network communication between the connected network infrastructure and compatible PoE devices. Its 100-metre extension range is useful where standard Ethernet cabling needs to be extended to reach remote equipment.

Actual network throughput and PoE performance depend on the connected devices, cable quality, installation conditions and total system configuration.

Surge Protection

Integrated 6kV PoE surge protection helps provide an additional layer of protection against electrical surges travelling through the PoE connection. This is particularly useful for outdoor network equipment installed in exposed or electrically demanding locations.

Applications

The extender is suitable for:

• Outdoor IP surveillance cameras
• Remote CCTV installations
• Outdoor wireless access points
• Industrial network equipment
• Security gates and perimeter monitoring
• Parking areas and access-control systems
• Warehouses and large commercial sites
• Remote PoE-powered network devices
• Outdoor Ethernet infrastructure

Compatibility Notes

The XY-EX01GB-OT should be used with compatible PoE equipment that meets its specified input voltage and power requirements. Confirm the PoE standard, power budget, cable type and device compatibility before installation.
