Your Longing Has a Name: Come Alive to the Story You Were Made for

Have you ever wondered who God had in mind before you came to be?

The longing for purpose is hardwired into the fabric of our souls. Why are we here? How should we live? What is life about anyway? How can our souls flourish in unsettled times? The tragedy is that every day more and more Americans feel powerless to answer these vital questions. According to recent polls, 65 percent of Americans feel as though the last year sent them into a crisis of identity; 68 percent feel defeated; 61 percent feel alone; and 48 percent feel hopeless.

In Your Longing Has a Name, author, speaker, pastor, and theologian Dominic Done casts a much-needed vision of hope, showing us who God says we already are: created, loved, and called by him to live out his dream for our lives.

Dominic paints a compelling picture of what this vision looks like, weaving together

• a unique approach to understanding purpose and faith,
• fresh language designed for current times of crisis and spiritual uncertainty,
• spiritual formation that focuses less on rules-based legalism and more on identity in Christ,
• deeply moving personal stories, biblical insights, and relatable discussions on the human ache for meaning, as well as
• examples from history, literature, art, and culture.

Your Longing Has a Name is a perfect choice for those of us struggling to find purpose, seeking self-awareness, and looking for a way forward in our personal journeys and relationships with God.
