Description
Zinsser Covers-Up Ceiling Paint & Primer Spray is a low-odour, solvent-based acrylic aerosol that combines a stain-blocking primer and a flat ceiling paint in one can. One coat blocks most water stains, graffiti, nicotine and smoke stains, and the matt white finish dries flat to blend with most ceiling tiles. The vertical spray design makes overhead application easy.
Popular uses include ceiling touch-ups, covering water stains and leak marks on ceilings and ceiling tiles, smoke and nicotine damage, graffiti and marks on walls, and quick repair jobs on drywall, plasterboard, plaster, wood, metal and PVC.
- Primer and ceiling paint in one can - saves a separate priming step on repairs
- Flat matt white finish - no glare and a close match to most ceiling tiles
- Overhead-friendly spray - a special spray design made for working on ceilings
- Low-odour formula - more comfortable for indoor repair jobs
- Solvent-based acrylic resin - a tough film that seals marks so they do not bleed through
- Titanium dioxide pigment - a bright, clean white that covers dark marks
- Multi-surface adhesion - bonds to drywall, plaster, wood, metal, PVC and laminates
- Trusted Zinsser stain-blocking quality from the Rust-Oleum family
Application tips:
Spray at room temperature, about 21-27 C, in a well-ventilated area and avoid high humidity. Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free of dust, grease, oil, wax, mildew and peeling paint; if unsure, wash with a household ammonia and water solution (do not use TSP), and sand paint edges smooth. Fill nail holes with Zinsser Ready Patch spackling compound and wire brush rusty areas. Shake the can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball rattles and shake often during use; if the ball does not rattle, do not strike the can, contact Rust-Oleum. Hold the can upright, 25-30 cm from the surface, and spray with short dusting strokes that overlap slightly, keeping the can moving. Dries to the touch in 30 minutes; if a second coat is wanted, wait a minimum of 2 hours. Keep away from open flame. When finished, turn the can upside down and spray until only clear gas comes out, and if the valve clogs, remove the spray tip and rinse it in mineral spirits.
