The 1550Z107 Diecast Aluminium Enclosure is a highly durable, economical housing designed for electronic instruments requiring watertight protection. Constructed from rugged yet easily machinable diecast aluminum alloy, this enclosure provides reliable performance in industrial and harsh environmental applications.

Its two-piece tongue-and-groove design offers excellent protection against dust and water ingress, making it ideal for repeated opening and closing. The unpainted version features a smooth vibra finish with no sharp edges, while the black version is coated with a tough polyester powder inside and out, ensuring a lasting professional finish even after machining.

The lid is secured with self-captivating stainless steel Philips head screws, located outside the gasket protection area, eliminating the need for O-rings on the screws. Lid holes are slightly undersized and pre-tapped, allowing for easy installation and secure fastening. A pre-formed, one-piece silicone rubber gasket fits into the lid groove, providing reliable IP66 protection.

This enclosure is cUL and UL listed, certified to NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12, and 13 standards (File #E71073). Its interior has no ribs, facilitating easy installation of PCBs and connectors without interference or additional milling. Designed for versatility, the 1550Z107 is perfect for industrial instrumentation, electronic projects, and applications requiring robust environmental protection.
