The ATEN US4224 2 x 4 USB 2.0 Sharing Switch allows two computers to share up to four USB Type-A peripherals.

It supports USB 2.0 data transfer speeds up to 480Mbpsand uses ATEN InstaSync technology for fast switching between the connected computers.

Product Description

The ATEN US4224 is a compact USB peripheral sharing switch designed for workstations where two computers need access to the same USB devices.

It allows up to four USB Type-A peripherals, such as a keyboard, mouse, printer, USB headset, camera, scanner or storage device, to be shared between two computers with USB Type-A connections.

The US4224 supports USB 2.0 data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps. ATEN InstaSync technology supports fast switching of USB control between the two connected computers.

Users can select the active computer using the built-in pushbutton on the unit. The switch supports plug-and-play operation with compatible Windows, macOS and Linux systems without requiring additional drivers or software.

The US4224 powers on when connected to a host computer. An optional 5V/1A USB power adapter can be connected to the USB-C DC input when additional power is required by connected peripherals. The power adapter is not included.

Compatibility Note

Please check that both computers and the USB peripherals have compatible USB Type-A connections before ordering.

The ATEN US4224 allows only one connected computer at a time to control the shared USB peripherals.

The switch supports USB 2.0 data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps. It does not support USB 3.2 Gen 1 transfer speeds.

Some USB peripherals with higher power requirements may require a compatible 5V/1A USB power adapter connected to the USB-C DC input. The power adapter is sold separately.

This product is intended for USB peripheral sharing and does not provide video output or USB Power Delivery charging.
