What is Moissanite?

Moissanite is a premium stone with characteristics similar to that of Diamond. So similar that Moissanite will pass most Diamond testing kits. Usually only found naturally in meteors, Moissanite is lab-made from Silicon Carbide and typically has flawless characteristics. It scores an impressive 9.25 on the Mohs scale, features a higher brilliance (refractive index of 2.65 vs 2.42 in diamond) and has perfect colour grading (colourless).

Colton James is committed to ethical practices. Importantly to us, Moissanite is ethically and environmentally sourced. Instead of being sourced from mines running under unethical practices and in conflict zones, every Moissanite stone is made in a lab and can be properly sourced back to the lab in which it was produced.
