The HKD DS3231 I2C Real Time Clock Module is a high-precision, low-cost RTC solution with an integrated temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) and crystal. Designed for accuracy and reliability, this module ensures precise timekeeping even during power loss, thanks to its onboard battery holder with rechargeable LIR2032 support.

The DS3231 provides complete calendar functions including seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year with automatic leap year compensation up to 2100. It supports both 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour formats. Two programmable alarms and a square-wave output add flexibility for time-based applications.

Additionally, the onboard AT24C32 EEPROM provides 32K of storage, while the I2C interface allows easy integration with microcontrollers like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other embedded systems. The built-in temperature sensor offers 3 C accuracy, enabling temperature-compensated operation for enhanced clock stability.

This module is widely used in time-sensitive projects such as data loggers, scheduling systems, clocks, and embedded electronics.
