Product Overview
The MAX3320TEAP+ from Maxim Integrated Products is a 3V to 5.5V true RS232 transceiver with 4µA AutoShutdown Plus™ and power-on reset in 20 pin SSOP package. It combines microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit with an RS-232 transceiver. The power-on reset performs single function that is it asserts a reset signal whenever the VCC supply voltage declines below preset threshold, staying asserted for at least 100ms after VCC rises above reset threshold. The MAX3320T has an active-low RESET output which needs to be in the correct state for VCC down to 1V. The reset comparator is designed to ignore fast transients on VCC. This transceiver has low dropout transmitter output stage which enables true RS232 performance with dual charge pump powered from 3V to 5.5V supply. Typical applications include palmtop computers, peripherals, printers, portable/battery powered and hand held equipments.
