Gas lift diameters are generally standard/universal but there are a few brands of chairs that use non-standard gas lifts. Please check this beforehand. The length of the gas lift required if often determined by how deep the gas lift fits/drops into the chair s base. Removing old gas lifts can sometimes be quite a challenge. You might need a rubber mallet hammer or even a normal hammer to remove the gas lift from the chair base. The best tool to remove the gas lift from the mechanism below the chair s seat is an adjustable, locking wrench/vice grip. Q20 lubrication can also help with removing stubborn gas lifts.
