Poly APC-4 Electronic Hook Switch for Cisco CS Series The Poly APC-4 is a legacy electronic hook switch designed to connect selected Plantronics CS wireless headset systems to compatible Cisco Unified IP phones. It enables remote incoming-call notification, answering and ending through the headset, helping users manage supported desk-phone calls without returning to the telephone. The electronic connection also removes the need for a mechanical handset lifter on correctly configured systems. Remote Call Control The APC-4 communicates electronically with a supported Cisco phone and compatible CS wireless headset base. When correctly installed and configured, users can answer an incoming call or end an active call through the headset’s call-control button. Incoming-Call Notification Supported headset systems can receive a remote ring indication from the connected Cisco phone. This helps users respond to calls while moving within the operating range of their wireless headset system.
