The Pylontech UP5000 is a reliable 48V LiFePO4 battery designed for residential solar storage, load-shedding protection, backup power, solar self-consumption and off-grid energy systems.
With 4.8kWh of total capacity and 4.56kWh of usable energy, the UP5000 provides dependable stored power for household appliances, lighting, refrigeration, security systems, internet equipment and other essential loads during power interruptions.
MORE USABLE ENERGY
The UP5000 provides up to 95% Depth of Discharge under approved operating conditions, allowing more stored solar energy to be used for evening consumption, peak electricity periods and backup power.
LONG-LASTING LIFEPO4 TECHNOLOGY
LiFePO4 battery chemistry provides excellent thermal stability, dependable performance and a long service life. The UP5000 is rated for more than 6,000 cycles under specified operating conditions, making it suitable for regular solar charging and daily backup use.
RELIABLE POWER DELIVERY
With up to 80A continuous charge and discharge current, the UP5000 can provide reliable power for compatible residential solar inverters and energy storage systems.
SMART INVERTER COMMUNICATION
Integrated CAN and RS485 communication allows the battery to exchange operating information with compatible inverters. This enables coordinated management of charging, discharging, State of Charge, temperature and battery protection.
INTEGRATED BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The internal Battery Management System continuously monitors cell voltage, battery temperature, current and operating status. It provides protection against overcharging, over-discharging, excessive current, short circuit and abnormal temperature conditions.
MODULAR AND EXPANDABLE
The UP5000 is suitable for both single-battery installations and larger multi-battery energy storage systems. Additional compatible battery capacity can be added as energy requirements increase, subject to approved system configuration and inverter limitations.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION
The UP5000 has an IP20 rating and must be installed indoors or inside a suitable protective battery enclosure. The installation location should be dry, adequately ventilated and protected from rain, direct sunlight, excessive dust, moisture and extreme temperatures.
Installation and commissioning must be completed by a qualified solar installer. Inverter compatibility, firmware, CAN or RS485 communication settings, cable sizing, protection devices and battery configuration must be confirmed before installation.
When adding the UP5000 to an existing battery system, the battery models, firmware versions, State of Charge, operating voltage, battery condition and correct connection sequence must be checked before commissioning.
