IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION:
- The UP5000 has an IP20 rating and must be installed indoors or inside a suitable protective battery enclosure. The installation location should be dry, adequately ventilated and protected from rain, direct sunlight, excessive dust, moisture and extreme temperatures.
Installation and commissioning must be completed by a qualified solar installer. Inverter compatibility, firmware, CAN or RS485 communication settings, cable sizing, protection devices and battery configuration must be confirmed before installation.
- When adding the UP5000 to an existing battery system, the battery models, firmware versions, State of Charge, operating voltage, battery condition and correct connection sequence must be checked before commissioning.
- Warranties: All inverters and batteries must be installed by a qualified electrical wireman or Master electrician with a valid registration with the Department of Labour. A valid electrical certificate of compliance (COC) must be issued once installed, specific to the installation of the backup or solar system. The installation must be compliant with SANS 10142 and ALL its parts. Any warranty claim submitted without installation photos, a valid COC, and proof of a qualified wireman/master electrician installing the unit, can be rejected and will render the warranty claim null at the void. The serial Numbers of the units also need to match for the item that was sold as to avoid tampering or returning of another similar item with a different serial number.
