Important Notes - Please Read Before Buying:

• This sensor REQUIRES the EZVIZ Home Gateway A3 to function - it CANNOT work standalone. The T2C is a ZigBee device, not WiFi, so it needs the A3 hub to relay alerts to the cloud and your phone. If you don't have an A3 already, buy them together as a kit.
• EZVIZ App required (free on iOS and Android). Create a free EZVIZ account to register your devices.
• Anti-tamper alarm and instant alerts require the A3 hub to be online (i.e., your home internet must be working). If your internet goes down, the sensor stops being able to alert your phone - though it will sync up when the connection is restored.
• Auto-recording on linked EZVIZ cameras requires either a local microSD card in the camera OR an active EZVIZ CloudPlay subscription.
• Wireless range is up to 200m in open environments - internal walls, concrete floors and metal objects reduce this. For very large homes, multiple A3 gateways may be needed.

Care and Maintenance:

• Wipe the surface clean (with a 70% alcohol wipe or surface cleaner) before sticking the sensor down - adhesive bonds best to clean, dry, dust-free surfaces.
• Press firmly when sticking the sensor and magnet into position. Hold each for 30 seconds to ensure the adhesive bonds properly.
• Align the sensor and magnet within the recommended trigger distance (under 25mm for wood, under 15mm for metal). The closer the better for reliable detection.
• Check the EZVIZ App periodically for low-battery warnings. The two-year battery life is based on average use - heavy-use locations may need batteries sooner.
• The sensor is not waterproof - avoid mounting it on the outside of exterior doors / windows exposed to rain. Mount on the inside of doors and windows for the longest service life.
• If the sensor stops responding, check the A3 Gateway's connection to your WiFi router first - most "broken" EZVIZ sensors are actually a gateway / network issue.
