SAFETY & CARE

Neck Use: When using the HK 60 around the neck, it must be rolled tightly and fully as instructed. Otherwise, the safety system may irreversibly switch the device off.

Machine Washable: Follow the instructions for machine washing very carefully. Cannot be washed more than 5 times during its life.

Important: Not suitable for infants, children under 3 years, or anyone unable to react appropriately to overheating.

Notes on Heat: Designed to meet strict European safety standards - warms to a cosy, comfortable temperature without becoming too hot.

Pacemakers: The electrical and magnetic fields from this device are within applicable safety limits. However, consult your doctor and pacemaker manufacturer before use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I wash my heat pad?

Yes. The heat pad is machine washable at 30 C. Disconnect the controller before washing. Close the hook-and-loop fastener and machine wash on a gentle/wool cycle at 30 C. Dry flat (do not use pegs) and allow the heat pad to dry completely before reconnecting the controller.
NB: Never allow the controller to get wet. Do not tumble dry, wring, iron or chemically clean the heating element. Never switch the heat pad on to dry it. Do not wash more than once per season, and a maximum of 5 times during its life.

Can I use the HK 60 as a neck heat pad?

Yes. The HK 60 can also be used around the neck when rolled tightly and fully according to the instructions. The safety instructions for this method must be followed carefully.

Why does my heat pad switch off automatically?

The HK 60 has a 90-minute automatic safety switch-off. This is a built-in safety feature designed to provide added protection during use.

Why doesn't my heat pad feel very hot?

To meet strict European safety standards Beurer heat pads are designed to provide controlled, comfortable warmth rather than excessive heat. It can take up to 15 minutes to feel warm and reaches its maximum temperature after approximately 30-45 minutes. For faster warmth, start on the highest setting and reduce the temperature once comfortably warm.

My heat pad is not working. What should I do?

Check that the controller is securely connected to the heating element and that the mains plug is connected to a working socket. If the safety system has switched the controller off, do not reconnect or use the controller with another product. Contact Beurer South Africa for assistance.

Can people with pacemakers use this heat pad?

The electrical and magnetic fields from this device are within applicable safety limits as follows: Electrical field strength: max. 5000 V/m. Magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m. Magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 mT. However, for additional reassurance, consult your doctor or pacemaker manufacturer before use.
