SAFETY & CARE

Initial Use: The control plug is difficult to insert into the device on first use. However, once inserted, the pins expand and remain open, ensuring easier insertion in the future.

Machine Washable: Follow the instructions for machine washing very carefully. Cannot be washed more than 5 times during its life.

Important: Not suitable for infants, children under 3 years, or anyone unable to react appropriately to overheating.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I wash my heat pad?

Yes. The heat pad is machine washable at 30 C. Disconnect the controller before washing. Wash on a gentle/wool cycle at 30 C. Dry flat (do not use pegs) and allow the heat pad to dry completely before reconnecting the controller. NB: Never allow the controller to get wet. Do not tumble dry, wring, iron or chemically clean the heating element. Never switch the heat pad on to dry it. Do not wash more than once per season, and a maximum of 5 times during its life.

Why does my heat pad switch off automatically?

The 90-minute automatic safety switch-off is designed to provide added protection should the heat pad be left unattended.

Why doesn't my heat pad feel very hot?

To meet strict European safety standards Beurer heat pads are designed to provide controlled, comfortable warmth rather than excessive heat. It can take up to 15 minutes to feel warm and reaches its maximum temperature after approximately 30-45 minutes. For faster warmth, start on the highest setting and then reduce the temperature once you're comfortable.

My heat pad is not working. What should I do?

Check that the controller is securely connected to the heating element and that the mains plug is connected to a working socket. If the safety system has switched the controller off, do not reconnect or use the controller with another product. Contact Beurer South Africa for assistance.

Can people with pacemakers use this heat pad?

The electrical and magnetic fields from this device are within applicable safety limits as follows: Electrical field strength: max. 5000 V/m. Magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m. Magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 mT. However, for additional reassurance, consult your doctor or pacemaker manufacturer before use.

Where can I use my heat pad?

Use it wherever you need comforting warmth, including on the back, shoulders, legs or abdomen. The 2.3 m power cord provides flexibility for use in any room with a suitable power socket.

Is an electric heat pad energy efficient?

A heat pad provides warmth directly to the person using it rather than heating an entire room. Electricity consumption depends on the selected temperature setting and duration of use.
